Proposed

How does AKRIBIS sound, and what may it claim?

Already settled

  • AKRIBIS One's lines: "Sinergizando conocimiento y tecnología" and "Nueve especializaciones. Un equipo."
  • Addressing the reader: usted, impersonal by default. Decided by Demian Montes de Oca, 2026-10-06.
  • Claims: for now only what can be verified with documentation or provider information is stated. Decided by Demian Montes de Oca, 2026-10-06.
  • A partner's text: what is copied verbatim from a partner (Vaisala) and attributed is exempt from the voice and claims rules, which govern AKRIBIS's own words; naming and every other rule still apply. The package draws it inside data-source="partner" (ADR-0038). Decided by Demian Montes de Oca, 2026-10-07.

Specification

  1. AKRIBIS One's lines in English and Portuguese (proposed, 2026-10-05): "Synergising knowledge and technology" and "Nine specialisations. One team."; "Sinergizando conhecimento e tecnologia" and "Nove especializações. Uma equipe.". A literal translation: One's verb is "synergise" in the three languages (unit register); British spelling and Brazilian Portuguese, like the rest of the site. They live in the register (lines) and each site shows its language's pair.
  2. Addressing the reader: impersonal by default. Buttons as plain verbs ("Request a quote"), the rest in the third person or the first person plural. When the reader must be addressed: usted in Spanish, você in Portuguese, you in English. Never voseo or tú: voseo reads as local outside Argentina and tú as informal; usted is the B2B norm across the region and in Spain. akribis.info today mixes the two almost half and half.
  3. Languages: Río de la Plata Spanish is the source text; Portuguese is Brazilian and English international with British spelling. Portuguese and English are adaptations a native speaker writes or reviews with the glossary; nothing machine-translated is published without that review.
  4. Register: precision before effect; short sentences, one idea each; exact technical terms; one thing, one name; no urgency, superlatives or promises; numbers, dates and units through Intl and the SI. The seven principles are in voice.json.
  5. Claims: only what can be verified with documentation is stated, AKRIBIS's own (a certificate, a contract, a register, an audit) or the provider's published information for what concerns its product. Every claim of scope, quantity, accreditation, legal status, performance or client sits in the voice.json register with its source, status (current, in progress, no source) and date; without a record it is not published. Recognition, accreditation and certification are different: AKRIMET holds OAA Level I Recognition (RE-016) with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in progress, and the checker refuses "17025 vigente", "accredited laboratory" and their equivalents. Clients only with written permission; never comparisons with competitors.
  6. Glossary and calls to action: one term per language for each concept (measurement, calibration, traceability, measurement uncertainty, monitoring…) with the words it replaces, and eight canonical calls to action in the three languages. Names, standards and technical acronyms are never translated.
  7. The endorsement in English and Portuguese, "A unit of AKRIBIS One" and "Uma unidade da AKRIBIS One", and AKRIBIS One's lines in both languages stand as proposed in the register.
  8. The check: standards.yaml lists, per language, the voseo and tú forms and the inflated phrases, and the claim wordings that say more than the credential in force; the checker reads every page's visible text and fails the build on one.

To re-reason

  • Quality to confirm each entry of the claims register against its document, and to record the missing ones (countries, number of clients, lead times).
  • Native review of the Portuguese and English texts, and whether any market needs its own adaptation (Spain, for example).
  • Whether akribis.info's "Expertise" exception survives its rebuild.

Delivers

  • voice.json: the address, the principles, the claims policy and register, the calls to action and the glossary
  • and the checker's voice and claims rules.

Addressing the reader
LanguageVariantWhen addressedNote
ESes-ARustedRío de la Plata Spanish as the source; neither voseo nor tú, which read as local or informal across the rest of the region and in Spain.
ENen-GByouInternational English with British spelling, like the rest of the brand; short sentences, no idioms.
PTpt-BRvocêBrazilian Portuguese; "você" when the reader must be addressed; never "tu" or "o senhor".
  1. precisePrecision before effect. Every sentence says something that can be checked: what is measured, with what uncertainty, under which standard, in what time.
  2. plainShort sentences that start with the verb or the subject; one idea per sentence. Exact technical terms, explained the first time when the reader may not know them.
  3. impersonalImpersonal by default: buttons as plain verbs ("Request a quote"), the rest in the third person or the first person plural ("we calibrate"). When the reader must be addressed, you.
  4. one-labelOne thing, one name: the same term in the menu, the heading, the card and the footer, and the glossary's term in each language.
  5. calmNo urgency, superlatives or promises. No "revolutionary", "next level", "world-class" or "ultimate solution": the list the checker refuses is in standards.yaml.
  6. numbersNumbers, dates and units through Intl in the page's language (ADR-0025): decimal point in English, SI units after a thin space ("25 °C", "±0.1 %"), ranges with an en dash ("2–8 °C").
  7. adaptedSpanish is the source text. Portuguese and English are adaptations, not literal translations: a native speaker writes or reviews them with the glossary; no machine translation is published without that review.

The glossary (ADR-0033): one term per language for each concept, and the words it replaces. Names, standards and technical acronyms are never translated.
  • Only what can be verified with documentation is stated: AKRIBIS's own (a certificate, a contract, a register, an audit) or the provider's published information (the manufacturer's datasheet, certificate or site) for what concerns its product. Every claim of scope, quantity, accreditation, legal status, performance or client is recorded below with its source, status and date. Without a record it is not published.
  • Recognition, accreditation and certification are different things. The exact credential is named, with its number and its scope; never a higher one than the one in force.
  • A client's name, logo or case is published only with written permission, recorded.
  • A performance figure (accuracy, lead time, number of instruments, countries) is measured or documented, with its source and date. "Leading", "the best", "unique", "100 %" only with an external source; never comparisons with competitors.
  • A manufacturer's brand (Vaisala, for example) is named as what it is: a manufacturer AKRIBIS represents or integrates, with the relationship on record.
  • currentakrimet-oaa-recognitionLaboratory with OAA Level I Recognition (RE-016) in calibration of temperature, mass, humidity, pressure and electrical quantities, and in thermal and humidity mapping tests (MKT).Organismo Argentino de Acreditación (OAA), Reconocimiento Nivel I RE-016; recorded in Websites/akribis_info/CLAUDE.md (2026-08-04). • no sourcegroup-countriesPresence in nine countries.akribis.one states "presencia en nueve países"; no primary source is recorded. Not published until one is.
The claims policy and its register (ADR-0033): each claim with its status and source. A claim without a source is not published; wording that says more than the credential in force fails the build.
