Check AKRIBIS’s own words, not the partner’s it quotes
Context and Problem Statement
The checker’s voice and claims rules (ADR-0033) read the visible text of every page and fail the
build on a match. Since 2026-10-07 the CMS fills the body of industry, application and magnitude pages
with Vaisala’s text as Vaisala publishes it (scrape_page, import_vaisala_map; CONTRACT window 4,
«source es de dónde salió el texto»), and a product’s body and summary have always been taken from its
manufacturer’s site (SCRAPEO.md). That text is the partner’s, quoted verbatim and attributed («Contenido
de Vaisala», with a link to the original and the date it was taken). A live check of akribis.info against
the real CMS (396 pages) found violations of voice and claims only in such text: a partner writes
“seamless”, and a partner may state its own accreditation in words AKRIBIS may not use for itself.
Editing a partner’s text to pass AKRIBIS’s voice would misquote it under its own name and would be undone by the next scrape. Dropping the rules would let AKRIBIS’s own text drift. What do the rules govern?
Decision Drivers
Criteria 1 (trust of a regulated buyer: every claim traceable to its source) and 9 (generated and tested) of ADR-0009; ADR-0033 (the claims policy: the provider’s published information is the source for what concerns its product); ADR-0036 (a partner’s content carries its attribution).
Considered Options
voiceandclaimsread AKRIBIS’s own words only; a partner’s text, wrapped and attributed, is skipped by those two rules and still read by every other- Rewrite the partner’s text in the CMS until it passes
- Keep checking everything and list the partner’s pages as known exceptions
Decision Outcome
Accepted: the first option.
- What is a partner’s text. On a page whose window-4
sourceis set: the sections from the CMS’s attribution heading on («Contenido de Vaisala», «Content from Vaisala», «Conteúdo da Vaisala», atextsection that is that heading alone) when the page has text of its own first, the whole body otherwise. On a product page: its body, its summary and its comparisons, taken from the manufacturer that the product’s catalogue key names (GMP251_Vaisala_CMS, or amanufacturerthe CMS sends). - How it is marked.
@akribis/sitedraws that text inside an element withdata-source="partner"anddata-partner="<key>"(CmsBody,PageHead’s summary, the product’s comparisons). Nothing else of the page is inside it: the head, the attribution, the rails and the closing remain AKRIBIS’s. - What the checker skips.
voiceandclaimsremove[data-source="partner"]before they read, as every rule removesdata-naming="quoted".namingand every other rule still read the partner’s text: the names of AKRIBIS and its units are spelt one way on every page, and headings, links, images and languages are the page’s, whoever wrote the words. - Attribution is the condition. Only text that is attributed is exempt: the CMS sets
sourcewhen it scrapes, and the page then shows whose text it is.
Consequences
- Good, because AKRIBIS quotes its partners exactly and its own words are still checked on every build.
- Good, because a re-scrape never breaks a build that passed.
- Bad, because a page can show, inside the partner’s block, a wording AKRIBIS would never write; the attribution beside it says whose it is.
- Bad, because text an editor writes inside a partner’s block is not checked for voice; editors add their own text above the attribution heading, where it is.
Confirmation
brand/test/site.test.ts checks that a block with data-source="partner" containing «seamless» and
«ISO/IEC 17025 accredited» passes voice and claims, that the same text outside it fails both, and that
naming still reads it. brand/test/templates.test.ts checks where the package marks a partner’s text.
The proof’s mock CMS (packages/cms-proof/mock) serves an industry with its own text and Vaisala’s after
the heading, a magnitude that is all Vaisala’s and products whose text is their manufacturer’s;
check:mock asserts the marks and finds zero violations.
