Present the units by category, in fixed grid, circular and linear orders

Context and Problem Statement

The nine units appear together on every site (directories, footers, the AKRIBIS One module), in print and in the ring. In what order, and does the order change with the layout? brand-architecture.md lists them in one order; the existing ring uses another (by hue); the 0.2 draft proposed “the lifecycle of the verbs”.

Decision Outcome

Stated by Demian on 2026-10-03, from the brand manual and the ecosystem diagram.

The nine units belong to three categories, three units each:

• Grid. A 3 × 3 grid keeps the categories as columns, in exactly this arrangement.
• Rows. Read by rows, the same architecture is AKRIBIS · AKURALAB · AKUTEMP / AKRIMET · SOLFARMA · AKLEIA / AKZOTEC · SINGULAR4 · AKIoT, which is also the register’s order in brand-architecture.md.
• Circular. Clockwise, AKRIBIS at the top centre: AKRIBIS → AKUTEMP → AKZOTEC → AKRIMET → AKIoT → SINGULAR4 → SOLFARMA → AKLEIA → AKURALAB.
• Linear. The circular sequence opened at AKLEIA: AKLEIA → AKURALAB → AKRIBIS → AKUTEMP → AKZOTEC → AKRIMET → AKIoT → SINGULAR4 → SOLFARMA.

The format may change (grid, linear, circular); the category relationships and the established sequence do not. The orders live in brand/units.yaml and are published in units.json; components take them from there.

Consequences

• Good, because every site renders the units from one source and one rule.

• Consequence for the AKRIBIS One ring (topic 2.2): a circular composition of the nine follows this clockwise order, not hue order. The ring is therefore a sequence of nine units, and adjacent colours have to be told apart; the colour study (topic 2.4) takes that as a constraint.

  Note, 2026-10-04. ADR-0016 proposes that the ring’s colour be one continuous gradient, which can only follow the hue order. If ratified, the order above stays the order of the nine when they are composed as units (grid, line, ring of wordmarks); the spectrum is One’s own colour, not a composition of units, and is published as orders.spectrum.

• The categories’ names in Spanish and Portuguese are proposed (Producto / Servicio / Servicio técnico), pending Voice (1.5).
