Specification

  1. Two packages. @akribis/tokens, built on every build from the published files: the CSS (base, type, shape, one per brand, all) with the fonts pointing at Brand, tokens.json, units.json, contrast.json, anatomy.json and standards.json. No dependencies, no JavaScript.
  2. The version is the build date as a calendar version (2026.10.6), the same the data and the changelog (5.4) carry. A site pins the version it uses and raises it when the changelog tells it what changed.
  3. Published on npm once AKRIBIS decides the package's licence (the marks, colours and texts are AKRIBIS's; the fonts, OFL); until then the tarball installs from Brand (/packages/).
  4. A site links the package's CSS in the contract's order (base, type, shape, its brand) and copies nothing.
  5. @akribis/site (ADR-0031) is the shared layer of every site: the Astro integration, the patterns as components, the page layout, the Worker, the checker and the starter a new site begins from, with the brand's data and the token CSS inside. A site installs this package and nothing else from Brand; the marks and the fonts load from brand.akribis.group. Same version as the tokens package, built in the same build.

  • Automatic publishing from the build once there is continuous integration.

The two packages (ADR-0029, ADR-0031): @akribis/tokens, the CSS (with the fonts pointing at Brand), tokens.json, units.json and its schema, strings.json, anatomy.json, standards.json and contrast.json, for anything that is not an Astro site; and @akribis/site, the shared layer of every site with the starter inside. Calendar version equal to the build date; built on every build and downloadable here. Publishing them to npm is a pending decision, with its licence.
